Battle Realms Steam
Open Call for Battle Realms Bugs Dust off those TomesOn March 26, 2012, in Battle Realms, by EdHi All,We are getting very close to some exciting news about Battle Realms. It's been 10 years since we've worked on this brand and you fans have been playing all that time. It's incredible the world wide support we've seen for BR and BR:WotW all these years and now we want to open the floodgates to your comments. We, here at Liquid, are taking stock of everything we want to fix or make better in new versions of Battle Realms and we'd love to hear your suggestions and bug reports. Because this matters so much to me, I'm going to give out a very special email for this. Ed@liquid.to This was my email address when we were developing Battle Realms originally and we've resurrected it for this special occasion. So please fans of the game (haters need not apply) please send me your well thought out critiques and known bugs and we'll add them to our list of things to fix and improve on.Obviously, we're just going to ignore anything that's full of hate or attitude so leave that at home. It's a lot easier for us to hit 'delete' than it is for you to type your rant.

About Battle Realms: Lair of The Lotus was announced on 16th of July 2013 as a sequel to Battle Realms. Later, the project was cancelled due to the lack of budget and Battle Realms on Steam/GOG being in works. On the KickStarter of discontinued 'Battle Realms Legends' Ed Del Castillo said:Back.
We're looking for people who would genuinely like to see the next great Battle Realms RTS and want to lend us their knowledge from years of playing.Thank you for your SupportEd Del CastilloPresident, Liquid Entertainment.
8 April, 2016 -Hi All. Many of you have pinged me privately to update everyone on what's going on with Battle Realms. I wish I had some good news to give you.:(I can tell you that every day someone is working on this game. I can tell you also that it seems like every day we find something new that holds the ship date. You see, Battle Realms was made a long time ago and that creates 2 problems. Problem 1 is that the code and the tools that it was written with are old. 15 years old.
Problem 2 is that because the code base is so old there is a shortage of talented people who can follow it.Finally there has been a shortfall in communiations between the people we hired to finish the task, the people we hired to manage it, and ourselves. As the President of Liquid Entertainment, I am unltimately responsible for everything we do so I blame no one but myself. I have tried to find skilled talent at every level to bring Battle Realms to life on Steam, but we've been plagued by a steady steam of newly discovered problems. We've also suffered from poor communications with you all. That's also my fault. I trusted these communications to a few people within our group and they utterly failed to keep you all up to date. The result being that I would write something whenever enough people emailed me that they needed to know what was going on.
Not the way I like to do things. In an organization like ours, I need to be able to delegate in order to push many things foward at once. Unfortunately, my Zen Masters haven't been so zen or mastery, and that's on me.So where are we today? The game code is comeplete and the trouble all resides in making it work with Steam. Steam's code is great.
The people involved are just having a hard time getting to done, with numerous synch issues and untraced disconnects still present. It's like pushing air bubbles out from under a screen protector.
They just seems to shift around to another locations and sometimes split into two.I don't want to release a de-synching game. As of now, I have no new date for you. The last few times I gave you a date they were given to me from the people in the trenches that were supposed to know and they were wrong.I hope for the best; continue to move the ball forward, and know that this will get done.some day. If we keep that up. 10 December, 2015 -Thanks to all of you who have written me asking WTF was up with Battle Realms. The team has been hard at work on some nasty bugs that cropped up when we moved the entire code base from 2001 (BR's release) to 2015.I'm happy to announce that we're in the final round of testing on the game!
We aren't expecting any major hiccups but, as always, if we do find something we will continue to work on it until it is right.I would like to say thank you to all of you who have kept positive and civil during this long process. BR is very near and dear to me, so I want to make sure that you get the best possible game.I cannot guarantee that BR will release in December. In order to properly deal with the data from the final round of testing the release is looking more like mid to late January.Again, thanks for being patient. Know that I'm the one holding it, because I want to fix as much as possible. 26 August, 2015 -After months of painful leftdowns, we have found the resources and people who could finish the job of making a Steam version of Battle Realms!Over the next weeks we will be testing the game internally and, if possible, we might be bringing it to some of you to help us test.I know it's been a hard road. No one (despite the posts) has been more frustrated with this process than I. We have perservered and barring any catostrophic bugs we will see a Steam version of BR before Halloween!Things are looking up.:) Thanks to all of you who kept the faith, you really helped us shake off the haters and keep going.
You are the best.:)Ed Del CastilloPresident, Liquid Entertainment. 2 April, 2015 -Hi Everyone. Nothing but bad news today, I'm afraid. The programmer who was key to the final stages of the Steam integration as left the project.Up til now we have done our very best to deliver this integration, but it has been plagued with unforseen circumstances. It would be very easy for me to get very unpleasant and rant on about a great many things but it would do little. So here's where we are.
From the beginning of the map, you will want to jump down, down again, then to the right. Girls and dungeons walkthrough. On this platform, you will see a path blocked by an eyeball. You simply need to make for the bottom right of the screen, and a path will be slightly out of view. You will need at least one Omniberry for the scene to play.Final Photo (Spoilers)Location: Abyss / SanctuaryThis lewd scene actually appears before photo five, within the area where you used the mushrooms to jump from platform to platform.
We are very close. There are about a dozen bugs that prevent us from making Battle Realms live on Steam.
It is heart achingly frustrating for me to be so close and have our key man go away.Money continues to be tight and there is no solution on the horizon. As you might expect, I have begun the search for the person or persons who might tap the ball into the goal box. It is only inches away. Arrrgh.Cross your fingers that I will be able to make magic happen and finish this intergration sooner rather than later.Ed Del Castillo, frustrated President of Liquid Entertainment.
